a follow up to my last entry...

On Friday, the class and I had a talk. I told them what they should do explicitly when they finish and I gave another test - this one more open ended in a way and told them I'd take the higher grade. I also explained that this wouldn't happen again, and that because it was the first time, we'd work on it a little more. Hopefully that stops problems. Thanks so much for your input and backup everyone! ♥♥

I found out something heartbreaking, though. I was talking to one of my student's parents and she kind of told me that this kid hates coming to school because he doesn't like me because I'm too strict. She was trying to tell me in a nice way so I can change a little bit. But, god, it broke my heart. That's never been something I'd expect :/ And I never thought I was that strict!

But yeah, just wanted to follow up and thank you all <3
