+ My birthday was yesterday! It was such an awesome day, the whole weekend really. Thank you to everyone who PM-ed, tweeted, DM-ed, texted, THANKS. I appreciate y'all so much! Thanks also to wendy and the_rant_girl for the fab v-gifts. The fun started from Friday where my bestie at work and the 6th graders we share threw me a surprise Avengers themed birthday party! The room was decked out in decorations, I got an Iron Man mask, there were zebra/leopard balloons, it was just amazing. It actually inspired me to write fic based on it haha: Students Assemble!
So Tyler Hoechlin and Dylan O'Brien along with the people they play Stiles and Derek from Teen Wolf have taken over my BRAIN and so Hoechlin and O'Brien are included in the aforementioned fic *facepalm* I have been reading so much TW fanfic guys. Jared and Jensen are my forever boys, but these two are so fun haha

+ I haven't checked the flist in WEEKS because I'd been so behind on SPN! If I missed something I should DEFINITELY see, please link me! I finally got caught up with the last three episodes and ( spoilers? )

+ There's a con in Houston in January and I AM GOING. Hopefully. I have bought the tickets and duo photo op already! I'm PSYCHED and hope it all works out.

+ Honest question. So if an author writes a fic in one fandom, is it just in bad taste to change the names and a few descriptions and repost it in another fandom?

2. Still obsessed with Stiles/Derek (I can't say Sterek, it doesn't roll off my tongue haha), what's funny is I haven't shipped an in-show pairing in a WHIIIILE so it's pretty exciting.

3. I've realized that maybe even more than schmoop, I LOVE fics where the characters are broken up (or break up) and work their way to get back together because they are MEANT TO BE. So any recs about that? Send 'em my way! (either pairing)

4. I have to make a huge rec post soon. SIGH. If I ever catch up.

Also. When I lived in Vancouver and met them a couple of times I could actually see how close they were. They would come into the coffee shop I worked in and sit together and laugh and Jared would always touch Jensens back or try and put extra sugar in his coffee when he wasn’t looking. And Jensen would ALWAYS hold the door open for Jared. I dunno. Their friendship is amazing.

7. I'm not passing any judgement on SPN yet, I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode. Let's see where it takes us! All I know? THESE BOYS CAN ACT.

Today is about a difficult time in my life. This is morbid, I guess, but it was summer 2009 when I was in Kenya. I had gone with my sister for my cousin's wedding and we also wanted to really experience a safari, etc. Well, the second or third night there, my cousin (related to the other one, but different home etc) rushes to our room to inform us that my uncle (mom's brother) had just passed away. I was in shock. My mom's sister had passed away a year prior, but I was in the US at the time. I've never been really close to a death and I was pretty close to my uncle - well as close as you can be thousands of miles away. He was always one of my favorites, cracking jokes, giving us things all the time, a genuine guy. And then he was just...gone. The next day I saw his body. I had never been so close to his body before. I broke down in tears. I actually went to say bye and kissed his forehead and it was so cold and I just...I couldn't handle it. I don't think I've cried that much ever. So for three days the house was filled with people, prayer, food, and tears.

But yeah, that was a very difficult moment. Our other uncle did the best he could to make the trip fun, and it worked, but it was quite hard.

So this week needs to end already and it does tomorrow, thank goodness. It's just been crazy at work and yeaaaah. I'm taking 2 days off next week because my cousins are visiting.

ANYWAY. I have hooked my coworker on SPN and YAY ME. Haha it's so cute to hear her responses :)
