Last day! It's kind of sad. I've liked posting every day :)

I've been to Kenya (Mombasa and Africa), London, Amsterdam (overnight stopover), Paris (2 hour stopover that I don't remember), Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Toronto :)

So...I don't cook. I've done a couple things, but for the most part I don't :/

I made this last though and REALLY enjoyed it!

Ingredients
3 Tbsp butter
4 cups fresh corn kernels (approx 6 large ears) (I used 4 cups of frozen corn)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 Tbsp lime juice
1 tsp cumin
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
⅓ cup heavy cream
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ cup chopped cilantro

Instructions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter
When butter is foamy add the garlic and corn, stirring to coat with the butter
Cook stirring frequently for 2 minutes
Add lime juice, cumin, and cayenne pepper and cook for 2 minutes more
Stir in cheese, and then add heavy cream
Continue to stir so corn won’t stick to pan
Add salt and pepper
Cook corn until most all of the cream has absorbed about 5 minutes more
Remove from heat, stir in cilantro and serve hot

My favorite book growing up was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine (I'm disregarding Harry Potter right now because that's an obvious one). I LOVED having a kickass female and I loved the story.

It's still Tuesday somewhere.

The best thing to happen this year was this summer I think. I went to Milwaukee to spend a couple of weeks with my bestie/cousin. I did it 2 years ago as well, but this year I spent an extra week there. I adore her to bits. She's one of my fave people ever and although we've drifted a little bit, I know she's the one person in my life to have my back no matter what. S may be 1000 miles away at any given moment, but she's the person I can turn to for advice. She's the person that will listen to my rants. She's the person that calls me beautiful even if I don't feel it. She's my best friend. Family may have pushed as together but determination, friendship, and love keeps us that way.

Today is about a difficult time in my life. This is morbid, I guess, but it was summer 2009 when I was in Kenya. I had gone with my sister for my cousin's wedding and we also wanted to really experience a safari, etc. Well, the second or third night there, my cousin (related to the other one, but different home etc) rushes to our room to inform us that my uncle (mom's brother) had just passed away. I was in shock. My mom's sister had passed away a year prior, but I was in the US at the time. I've never been really close to a death and I was pretty close to my uncle - well as close as you can be thousands of miles away. He was always one of my favorites, cracking jokes, giving us things all the time, a genuine guy. And then he was just...gone. The next day I saw his body. I had never been so close to his body before. I broke down in tears. I actually went to say bye and kissed his forehead and it was so cold and I just...I couldn't handle it. I don't think I've cried that much ever. So for three days the house was filled with people, prayer, food, and tears.

But yeah, that was a very difficult moment. Our other uncle did the best he could to make the trip fun, and it worked, but it was quite hard.

My blog name is enable love and it was actually made up by dev_earl. I was hd_obsession but I was no longer active in the Harry/Draco fandom and I wanted something new. I also knew I didn't want a fandom-y name because what happens if I were no longer into SPN you know? So I was talking to Dev and we came up with some options..I really wanted love in my name somehow and I'm called an enabler by her cause I used to get her to write me fic and thus enablelove was formed :D And she was so awesome she made me headers and icons on the spot! I love that girl to pieces ♥

What's at the top of my bucket list?

Religious route - it's to go for Hajj, the pilgrimage for Muslims in Mecca
Worldly route - travel the world, at least visit every continent. I've got 3 down haha and Antarctica doesn't count so I have 3 more to visit :D Especially Australia, do want!

Well, inside the fridge I'm sharing this summer, it's pretty bare. We go to her parents place every weekend, so there's not much in there. A little milk, some fruit, some leftovers made over the week. Not much haha

There was Dr Pepper earlier because I had a hankering for it, though ;)
