snowballwars prompt of New Year’s Eve kiss
The New Year’s Eve bash was going well and anyone could tell as much by the trash strewn everywhere and the people everywhere. It isn’t a huge crowd, but they are loud and noisy and make it seem like there are more. The house is a mess and yeah it's going to be hell to clean up in the morning, but right now Jensen and Jared are content to sprawl on their comfortable sofa in front of their TV watching the ball drop and reveling in the success of their party.
They glance at the TV as the countdown begins, Jensen snug against Jared, one of his legs crossed over Jared’s.
10…9…8
Jared places an arm around Jensen and pulls him in closer against him, turning him just a little so that they are facing each other.
7…6…5
They toast each other with their glasses of wine and a “to 2009 being awesome!” and take a sip.
4…3…2
Jared mumbles a “C’mere Jen,” and Jensen leans in willingly to catch their lips in a lingering kiss. Lips and tongue and a hint of teeth. Licks and nibbles. It’s heat and comfort and love. They hear everyone shouting “ONE!” and cheering as they all ring in the New Year but Jensen and Jared are lost in the kiss and in each other.
