I'm at Barnes and Noble right now, studying for Theatre. My book is talking about the Trojan War and the characters and one of them is Pandarus, a nombleman. He is wily and delights in bawdy songs and sexual escapades. The sidebar then says that We get our word "pander," a synonym for "pimp," from the name of this character from ancient Greek mythology.
