Summary: Harry and Draco go home.
A/N: This is the Christmas fic I wrote for
enchanted_jae. It also fits in with
hd_fluff's December prompt of Christmas song lyrics. See if you can figure out which ones I used lol :D Enjoy!
Harry walked through the streets of London, brushing past everyone busy with their holiday shopping. The sidewalks of the city sure were busy!
He laughed at his corny joke and continued on his way. He checked his watch and saw he was almost late to meet Draco. He walked a little faster before Draco could chew a new one.
He stepped inside the coffee shop, listening to the sounds of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” pulse through the air. That was always his favorite Christmas song because Rudolph kind of reminded him of himself. Harry the Scar-Headed Boy.
He let go of his maudlin thoughts and focused on his boyfriend who was sipping at his mug of hot chocolate, lost in his own thoughts. He walked toward his table and bent down for a kiss, not caring if other people saw them, only focused on Draco.
Draco resisted at first, but soon gave in and Harry knew he was forgiven. They parted and Harry sat down and took a sip of his own still warm hot chocolate.
They made small talk, talking about how their days went. The coffee date was a weekly thing that both of them had decided on, as their lives were busy that it was hard to make time for each other. But every Friday, no matter what else, they got together at Monmouth.
Harry got a bit nervous, debating whether or not he should ask the question that had been plaguing his mind for weeks. He finally decided that he should bite the bullet already and ask. He reached his hand in his pocket and pulled out the gold item. He clenched it in his fist and took his hand out of his jacket.
“Draco, I need to ask you something.”
Draco looked up at him, a mixture of nervousness and hope flitting across his face. Harry knew in that moment that it was the right time. He reached across, grabbed Draco’s hand and dropped the gold plated key into Draco’s palm.
“Move in with me, please?”
Draco looked down at the key and then up at him with a mixture of surprise and again hope. He looked down at the key again before slowly raising his eyes to Harry’s and nodding ever so slightly.
Harry let out a whoosh of breath. He had a feeling Draco would say yes, but he still wasn’t sure until that moment. He reached across and pressed a kiss to Draco’s lips, chaste at first, but stopping before it got too heated.
He pulled Draco up and said, “C’mon Draco, it’s time to go home.”
And that’s exactly what they did, back to their home, both of them, where Draco showed his appreciation and his answer over and over again.
