hd_fluff’s birthday. I offered 5 prompts (only 3 got prompted for though!)
laineys_garden asked for this with
"Welcome to my Californian home
You don't have to call me
You can leave when you want
There's a picture by my bed
There's a light in your eyes
I don't know
Well I don't know
Why you still feel alone". A bit different take I know, but the song to me seemed a bit depressing! LOL. Complete Lyrics and Song
Harry had a crush. He didn’t want to admit it because it sounds so girly—a crush?! On a boy, on Draco Malfoy of all people! But that’s what it was, a crush.
He knew Draco was interested in men, just not those like Harry-scrawny, pale, scruffy, and messy. So Harry did what he could, worked out, got a tan by working outside in the summer, and went into a hair salon. Thankfully his hair didn’t grow back the next day like it had when he was little. He actually liked the new style, he thought it suited him.
He also tried to work up the courage to give Draco a call, and had been trying to muster up that courage all year. He was a Gryffindor! But apparently, all that courage had run away.
But he finally did, and surprise of all surprises, Draco agreed to meet him. Harry was happy that when they finally got together for their first date Draco did a double take at his appearance and a light blush rose up on his cheeks.
Harry knew that Draco wasn’t the monogamous type and although that was what Harry wanted, he would be happy with what he could get from Draco.
They went on a couple of dates and Draco seemed happy to be with him, but he would never stay the night and Harry would lose his courage to ask him to stay night after night.
Harry came up with a plan, though, and hoped fervently that it would work. He put up a picture of the two of them on his night table. It was a wizarding one and showed them leaning in to kiss again and again and it was one of Harry’s favorites.
So the next night comes around and Draco is getting ready to leave when he sees the picture, and pauses. He just stands there staring for a little bit. His movements get a little slower when dressing and getting ready to go, as if he’s hesitant to leave. So Harry pulls at his wrist, a silent plea to stay, and Draco looks at him with glowing eyes and Harry knew that his fretting was all worth it for that look alone.
