Latest PSA wherein LJ messes with something else:

Livejournal Scrapbook is going away. Your 10GB of Paid Member space is now 2GB. If you care, there is an explanation in Russian on the Russian news page. There's also a user-submitted translation.

+ You will no longer have access to your Scrapbook once this goes live.
+ Your images will redirect, but the URL will be different.
+ Unable to tell what will happen to any photos you have that put you over the 2GB limit.
+ Back up your Scrapbook just in case.
+ If you want your photos transferred over now instead of waiting, let them know here.

Peachy. I don't use any photo hosting sites (I used Photobucket once, I think). Le sigh.

There are some examples of navagation strip issues here. It seems some LJs are affected and some aren't (yet).

1. LJ is not doing too hot with it's comments and userpics and such is it? *shakes head* Hopefully that gets fixed soon.

2. DUDE, there is nobody on LJ anymore! It's sad :( Twitter/Tumblr have taken over and I feel like we don't even have proper conversations anymore. I remember comments upon comments of convos, of posts with tons of interaction. Those that read this know what I'm talking about. Those that I miss are off in Twitter and Tumblr land. *sighs* I still <3 you guys! I barely get on Tumblr and Twitter I'm on for a random thought. I've been on the latter a little more since I have break and am reading fic so I see the blue little thing letting me know there are updates haha

3. MY EAR IS CLOGGED. I guess it's congested? I woke up with not being able to hear in my right ear, only this dull oceanic roar. It's annoying. Any home remedies/tips before I find a doctor? (DNW doctors. They're expensive and time consuming esp. w/o insurance haha)

4. My room is a right mess and I don't feel like cleaning it. *sighs* It's been like it for a whiiiiiile. My niece and roommate I guess is coming tonight and I have to pick up clothes and put them away *pouts* Gonna see if I can listen to the Reanimaated fic by

tigbit while I do it. Hopefully I can hear it without blasting it too loud. We shall see. Lies. They're home. No podfic as I clean because niece will be in the room. Fail.

5. Saw MI4 in IMAX on Friday. I really enjoyed it! It was good :D I haven't seen the first three haha. But there were scenes where Tom Cruise looked like he hadn't aged at ALL. And the stunts and effects were wicked! The car was GORGEOUS, too!

here is how to stop the crossposting of comments/entries from LJ to sites like Facebook:

There is a way to disable everything. Here is what you have to do:

1. Go to your "Journal" menu, and select "Journal Style"
2. To the right, you'll see what theme you're using, with a link stating "Customize Your Theme". Click that link.
3. Scroll down a little ways, and you'll see that on the left side of your screen, you have multiple options to modify your theme. Click on the "Custom CSS" link, and it should load the options for doing Custom CSS.
4. From here, all you have to do is go to the "Custom Stylesheet", and put in that line.

.b-repost-item {display:none}

once you have it pasted in there, save changes.

Feel free to PASS THIS ON!!

ETA: This prevents the "repost to FB/Twitter" ticky boxes from being displayed when someone comments on one of your posts. It seems to work, UNLESS the person is viewing your page in their own journal style, in which case it might not work.

ETA2: Inserting the code below in your custom CSS box reportedly works for more kinds of journal styles, including custom ones (this courtesy of
