Reinventing Love 'Verse by _mournthewicked

With high school graduation less than two weeks away, best friends Jared and Jensen find themselves scrambling to tie up a few loose ends before they’re forced into adulthood. Jared ropes Jensen into helping him get the alcohol for Sandy's graduation party, and what should be a simple night of partying ends up turning into a series of mishaps and misunderstandings that all come to head when Jensen finally tells Jared the secret he wasn't ever planning on spilling. If high school has to end, they're going out with a bang.

God, I think the entirety of J2 fandom has read and adored this verse and for good reason! Such life and voice given to the boys in this along with tons of schmoop and porn. The perfect combination of a feel-good fic!

Something Borrowed, Something Blue by belyste
When Jared desperately needs a date for his brother's wedding, he hires an escort. Jensen's the perfect fake boyfriend, except pretty soon things get a little too real.

God, this is definitely a favorite. And a pretty well-known fic. Whenever I'm in a slump and have some time, this is one of my go-to fics. I have no idea what happened to this author, but she is DEFINITELY one of my favorite authors because she can evoke so much with her words.

Rec Number 5 belongs to dugindeep. I love love LOVE all her fics, but there's one in particular I reread always!

Jensen Ackles' career is going just fine and dandy. He's chasing after a new client, he's up for a promotion, and while he's working absolutely too many hours, he's doing some really damn fine work. {Take the 100 Things challenge!}

I'm totally going to steal bertee's idea for this. I'm going to do 100 Recs! I have recently been re-reading or listening to some favorites of mine and thought I'd share. This challenge is the perfect way to do that. And I hope it'll make me get online more. I've lost touch with so many people lately, and I MISS you dammit! These aren't in any particular order, just what pops into my mind :) Today, we'll start with a fic I think I've read a hundred times or more!

No Sleep Till Bedtime by veronamay
I saw this interview from the Paley Festival. The boys looked really tired, and Jensen mentioned they'd only had three hours' sleep. My head went ka-boom, and the only thing left in the wreckage was, "sleepyboysficomg". And here we are.
My head went ka-boom when reading this! She writes BRILLIANTLY. V is one of my favorite authors and one of the first ones I read when joining fandom. There's her style of writing that is witty and engaging and scorching all at once. This particular one had adorable and cute thrown in there as well. It is definitely my top 5 fics to read ANY day. Seriously, I could read this everyday and not get tired!

Numero tres: My birthday is in 5 days :D It's on a Friday and we get Monday off so 3-day birthday weekend ftw \0/ ahahha

Numero quatro: Who is watching Scandal!? I was HOOKED. SO GOOD. I love the lead actress, her whole team really. They're brilliant. I can't believe there were only like 7 episodes for this season and thank goodness it's been renewed!

Numero cinco: Now to go grade tons of stuff. Last week of grades woo hoo!
